Who am I ?
I am the girl who has a white mom and a Mexican dad.
I am the girl who can hardly even understand her own language.
I am the girl who’s not Mexican enough
I am the girl who’s not white enough.
I am the quiet shy girl at the back of the class
I am the girl who’d rather fail a class then to speak out loud
I am the girl who looks like the happiest person on earth
I am the girl who takes 8 different medications at night
I am the girl who goes to counseling every week
I am the girl who cries herself to sleep
I am the girl who begs God to make the pain go away
I am the girl who fixes her problems with a blade to her skin
I am the girl who’s scared for people to see the scars on her body
I am the girl who lays in the shower wishing for it to all end
But I am also so much more…
This is who I am.. the girl I hide everyday. To anyone who can relate YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND DONT HIDE WHO YOU REALLY ARE! YOU ARE PERFECT NO MATTER WHAT.
